Barge.org is a longstanding group of poker enthusiasts who have been meeting (almost) every summer in Las Vegas for over 30 years to play cards, consume a few cocktails, and engage in shenanigans.
Each year, our Main Event tournament champion gets a set of custom poker chips. We make those chips available to the community. Of course, we’ve missed a few years, but we’re trying to revive the tradition.
This site is here to keep some pictures of the previous sets and maybe make some more sets.
Site History
BARGE chips were made for the main event winner in 1993, and a tradition was born. Chips were made consistently for a few years.
But in 2000, the BARGE main event winner didn’t make a chipset.
In 2001, a group of BARGErs formed the Barge Chip Committee to ensure chips would be made every year. For about a decade, images and sales of BARGE chips were on pokerart.com. At some point, BARGE chip images and sales were hosted on bargechips.org.
This lasted up until around 2020. A lot of things happened in 2020, and many things didn’t happen in 2020.
One of the many things that didn’t happen in 2020 was BARGE chips.
In 2024, we started talking about chips again. We discovered bargechips.org was available, and $12 later, we had a web site. We have resurrected some data on every chip set that was produced and are working on describing some of the other stuff people have made.
